1D Preferences #628: You're both sick...
Harry: "Pass the tissues," you groan, grabbing a handful of tissues and lazily leaning against his chest. "I can't believe we both got sick," he frowns, running his fingers through your hair with his voice raspy and sore. "I can," you laugh, looking up at him from beneath your lashes. "I was sick and you kept kissing me and cuddling with me anyways and I got you sick," you remind him, watching his dimples appear as his lips curl up in a grin. "Can you blame me? You're extra adorable when you're sick, I wanted to spend time with you regardless of the consequences," he insists, holding you closer. "Now we can be sick and cuddle together all day justifiably."
Zayn: "I win," you smirk, placing down your last Uno card and watching as he sets his losing hand down with a pout, "That's three out of three, I'm awful at this," he laughs, putting the cards back in the box and letting out a yawn. "Usually being sick is pretty miserable, I'm kind of glad we're both sick together," he admits, his voice raspy with a cold. "Me too, we'll have to get revenge on Niall for getting us sick," you laugh, nuzzling his neck and pulling the blanket around you both. "Tomorrow," he yawns, rubbing your arm. "For now we should sleep."
Louis: "I think I burnt the soup," he calls out, clearing his throat and frowning at the stove. "Lou, how in the hell; do you burn soup?" you laugh, coughing into the crook of your elbow. "I'm not sure but I think I've done it," he chuckles, turning off the stove and frowning at the nearly evaporated can of chicken soup lying in the pot. "Eh, who needs soup, let's just have some tea and watch a movie, maybe Forrest Gump?" he suggests, grabbing two mugs and hugging you from behind. "Sounds good enough," you admit with a smile, grabbing honey from the cabinet. "I still can't believe you burnt soup, you're the worst."
Niall: "We've literally slept all day," you laugh, stretching and unraveling yourself from him and the pile of blankets. "What a lovely way to spend a sick day," he smirks, pulling you back into the mess of sheets and kissing your neck. "I'm glad that Harry got us sick," you laugh, messing with his hair. "You got a day off and we got to spend the day being lazy and sleepy." He smiles and climbs out of the blanket mess, pulling you with him. "I agree, how about some soup?" he offers, wrapping his arm around your waist.
Liam: "Perks of being sick," he muses, glancing from the television to you, snuggling up in the blankets you'd both tossed on the sofa. "The telly all day and spending it next to you being warm and toasty." You laugh and lean against his chest, toying with the edge of the blanket. "Plus your voice sounds extra raspy and hot, that's a perk," you tease, causing him to raise an eyebrow in surprise. "Really?" he muses, singing a few bars. "So perfect," you sigh, closing your eyes and resting your head on his lap. "Maybe I should get sick more often," he jokes, toying with your hair. "I think your voice sounds hot too, the raspy thing sounds mysterious."

Aw, thank you! I hope to write more of those in the summer, I’m a bit swamped with school right now! ^^

I’m not really this dedicated to any other fandoms hehe, it’s just this one! But I do write one direction one shots/have a fan fiction that I have linked on my sidebar :) xx

I love the 5SOS boys, but this is a one direction preference blog so I’m going to stick to my main band, One Direction, but I’ll try to do a preference or two including the 5SOS lads :) xx
1D Preferences #626: Hiding it...
Louis: As the interviewer asks the dreaded question he subconsciously holds his breath, knowing he must answer. Knowing he must lie. She glances towards him awaiting an answer and he bites his tongue. "I'm single, ready to mingle, like a pringle," he jests, making light of the situation and blocking the annoyance of hiding with a joking smile.
Harry: Contract. Contract. Contract. He repeats the word over and over in his mind until it becomes a blur of syllables and vowels. "I'm...er," he's an awful liar. Terrible liar. Contract. Contract. "Erm, I'm not seeing anyone really at the moment." Vague answer. Not a good answer. Contract. "Yeah, single," he adds on, attempting to patch up his slight error.
Liam: As soon as the question leaves the interviewer's lips his mind falls to you and the evening just yesterday. But no, he's forced to forget it for now. As long as there are cameras he is single but when it is you and him he is not. It's so confusing and he hates it. He raises a reluctant hand marking him as single but keeps his arms cross and expression distant as the interview ensues.
Zayn: He wants to show you off, he wants to let the know you are his. All his. But he can't. There are legal things and contracts that he doesn't want to mess with, he doesn't want you to be trailed by ravnous paparazzi. He wants to keep you his secret but he also want the whole world to know. "I'm single," he replies simply, adding a quiet "I'm lying," under his breath.
Niall: His knee bounces up and down and his heart pounds with excitement. Finally he isn't single. He has a girl, a lovely girl that he wants to show off to everyone and tell everyone how lovely she is. But he can't. He takes deep breaths and forces himself not to slip, not to let the world know. "Not dating anyone," he says quickly, biting down on his lip to stop himself from correcting it. For now to the public he is single, but he is not. Not really.

1D Preferences #625: Holding you tight...
Harry: His broad frame is pressed against your back with his arms snug around you, his curls lightly brushing your cheek as he nuzzles your neck. You lazily trace his tattoos with your fingers and relish in his cuddly warmth.
Louis: A small smile falls over his lips as you press your cheek against his chest, his arms encircling you and holding you close barely leaving space between, his palms rubbing small circles on the small of your back.
Niall: He holds you close and nuzzles your neck, his arms holding you tight and his lips curled up in a smile because you are simply his and you are in his arms right where you belong.
Zayn: He places one hand on the small of your back and the other wrapped around your shoulders, holding you gently but close with a look daring anyone to try to take you away from him because you are his and that’s how it’s supposed to be because you two belong together.
Liam: He’s much bigger than you are and his t-shirt smells like detergent and cologne, his warmth and arms hold you tight in a comforting and close embrace, your cheek pressed against the soft fabric of his worn tee.

I think Louis would be the older brother who’d tease you and pull your pigtails but he’d also be extremely defensive and protective. “Hey! Only I’m allowed to make fun of my little sister” type of deal. He’d also probably go to amusement parks and fun things with you because he’s such a fun guy (or fungi if you prefer badumtss)
I think Niall would probably be the big brother who takes you to lots of sports games and tries to teach you how to play sports even if you’re a total girly girl. He’d probably be the type to wake you up in the middle of the night to make ice cream sundaes and watch cartoons on Saturday mornings together and stuff but he’d also probably be pretty protective in a light and funny kind of way.
I think Harry would be the older brother who’d literally do anything for you. If you asked him to braid your hair he’d probably learn how, if you asked him if you could paint his nails he’d let you. He’d be the caring and kind older brother who would make you breakfast in the morning and make sure you’re okay and if you’re upset he’d probably leave a carton of ice cream with a note saying “if you wanna talk you know where to find me” in front of your door. He’d probably be protective but also accepting for your friends/boyfriends or anyone and he’d always be there as a shoulder to cry on and a friend.
I think Zayn would be super protective and caring. He’d probably be the kind to say “You look nice but maybe you should wear something less revealing…I don’t want guys messing with my little sister…” and he’d probably throw punches at anyone who hurt you. He’d probably also be the type of brother who’d watch movies with you and drive you places and make sure you’re okay.
I think Liam would be the one who always tried to cheer you up. He’d probably be the king of cheesy jokes and always making sure you have a smile on your face. When you’re sad he’d probably make silly faces until you smiled again and he’d probably stay up late watching old Disney movies with you just because. He’d also probably be a little protective sometimes, but respectfully so because he knows you can generally take care of yourself. He’d be the big brother who’s like a teddy bear and always there for you, you know?

1D Preferences #624 Your lipstick on his face...
Louis: "Lou, you have a little..." you gesture towards the pink smattering of kisses on his cheeks and blush. You go ti wipe it off with your thumb but he ducks away. "Keep it," he smirks, leaning over and nuzzling your cheek. "Maybe it'll make some people finally believe we're really dating...plus it's some good reminders of last night."
Harry: "I think," he smirks, wetting a napkin and dabbing the red lipstick marks on his face. "This color looked better on you." You roll your eyes and watch as he scrubs off the make-up you'd left. "Good luck trying to scrub off that love bite," you laugh, nodding towards the mark on his collar bone. "That can stay," he retorts, kissing your cheek.
Zayn: "Wow," he lets out a breath in front of the mirror and raises an eyebrow. "My lip gloss looks good on you," you tease, noticing the pink smudges near his lips and jawline. "Absolutely does," he laughs, wrapping you in a hug from behind and lowering his voice to a whisper. "Too bad I'll have to wash it off...maybe you can put some more on me later."
Niall: "Wow, loving the lipstick, Horan!" Louis calls out, clapping Niall on the back. "You're rocking that bright pink," Zayn laughs, gesturing towards Niall's lips. "Shit," he glances in the mirror and notices your lipstick lingering on his face. He wipes it off with his sleeve and shrugs, giving a bright smile. "I know you guys are jealous, I left it there to remind you of how lovely my girlfriend is."
Liam: "My mouth tastes like strawberries," he notices, licking his lips and raising a brow. "It's because my lip gloss is kind of all over your face," you tell him, biting back laughter. "Posh Pink is a lovely shade on you, Payne." He glances at his reflection in the mirror and laughs, wiping the gloss off with his sleeve. "Thanks for that," he teases, nuzzling your cheek.
Anonymous: i realized that most of the scenarios ive read are about 1d having a relationship with the reader. are there actually any out there that are just about the boys or not about them being in a relationship...or? I havent seen any.
What do you mean? If you’ve got any ideas for preferences like that I’d love to try to write some? I wrote one comparing the boys to glass which didn’t reference a relationship? ^^’ xx
